Dr L M S Baghel, M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D. presently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics‘ at Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Post-Graduate College, Barabanki (UP). He was a meritorious student and obtained M.A., M. Phil. degree by securing second position in University and completed Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from the Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur. He has published more than 140 Research papers/articles in various reputed National and International Journals and also presented research papers in National and International Conferences/Seminars. His two Research/Reference Books entitled –“Technological Change and Productivity Growth in Total Manufacturing Sector of India” has been published in 2008 and “Terrorism, Naxalism, Corruption & Regionalism (Challenges & Threats to Development)” published in 2014. Not only this, he has also completed major and minor research projects during the Doctoral degree and Post Doctoral Research Fellowship. He is also contributing to research and development in the field of Economics and Higher Education as a whole as Editor & Publisher of an Multi Disciplinary National & International Research Journals viz. “Indian Journal of New Dimensions” since 2011. Moreover, he has completed a Major Research Project of UGC; New Delhi as a Principal Investigator in year 2015-16. He has been honored by the ADRRI Research Journal, Ghana, Africa as a Reviewer and Member of Editorial Board. Presently, he is holding various academic and non academic positions in College such as member of Proctorial Board & Admission Committee, Career Counselor. At last but not the least, he has also contributed in the field of Astrology and more than 2 dozen predictions on celebrity/politicians and analytical articles too as well has been published in various Astros Magazines and News Papers.

About The Book

The present book is divided into seven chapters. First two chapters deal with vast introduction of study into consideration and theoretical & conceptual frame. Chapter III deals with vast reviews of past literature while in chapter IV detail discussion on research methodology has been discussed. Chapter V and VI, examine growth of productivity and production efficiency of WFBI of various States and Country as a whole, it also contains a Statistical Test of important hypotheses of study under consideration. At last in chapter VII, summary and conclusions has been discussed in detail. Thus, this book is an innovative work which lights up an important but dark area of wood and forest-based industries of Indian States and particularly the country as a whole. This book will be milestone for the untouched sector of Indian Economy and will be very useful to the academicians, researchers and policy makers and people having concern for wood and forest-based industries.
