Author Profile
Dr J. S. Khuraijam is a cycad biologist and plant conservationist at CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow. Besides cycad taxonomy, he has contributed in the taxonomic studies of Indian conifers, Orchidaceae and Apocynaceae. He is actively involved in the conservation of threatened species and native ornamental plants of India. He has published more than 60 papers on plant taxonomy and biodiversity conservation. Dr Khuraijam did his PhD in Botany from GGS Indraprastha University, New Delhi. He is an active member of IUCN SSC Cycad Specialist Group and editor of NeBIO and Cycads.

The book ‘Wild Ornamental Plants of India’ contains sixteen chapters written by leading scientists and researchers from different parts of the country especially from plant diversity rich regions. It is hoped that, this edited book will fulfil a long felt need for a concise and an up-to-date reference book on wild ornamental plants of India.
