About the Author
Dr Shubhashree Mahalik is Assistant Professor at P.G. Department of Biosciences and Biotechnology, Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, Odisha. She holds MSc degree in Biotechnology from University of Allahabad and PhD degree in Biotechnology from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She specializes in Microbial Bioprocess and biosystems engineering. Her doctoral research work focused on systems biology approaches for designing Quiescent cell platform for over expression of recombinant proteins. Presently she is engaged in research work pertaining to study of microbial physiology and metabolic engineering for production of value-added enzymes and metabolites.
Dr Dhanesh Kumar is currently working as a prestigious Dr. D. S. Kothari Post Doctoral Fellow at Dept. of Plant Sciences, School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. He has earned his master’s and Doctoral degree from Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, an Institution of national importance. Dr. Kumar served as guest faculty in Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, teaching microbiology and Biotechnology to P.G. and M. Phil students. His present research thrust includes study of diversity of bacteria in coastal belt of Odisha, isolation of novel phylotypes and metagenome analysis. Dr. Kumar is the recipient of international fellowship from Govt. of Czech Republic, National merit scholarship from DBT, Govt. of India, CSIR-NET, ICMR JRF, GATE etc.
