Dr. P. S.Kattimani is presently working as Deputy Librarian at the Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi. He holds M.L.I.Sc., NET, PGDLAN, M.Phil and Ph.D in Library and Information Science. He has over 20years of professional experience. Prior to his current position with the Central University of Karnataka, he worked with the British Library, Bangalore; Wipro Technologies, Hyderabad; and Gulbarga University, Gulbarga. He had visited Orlando, USA to attend and present a paper at the 11th World Multiconference on Systemic Cybernetics and Informatics 2007. Received several awards from different association in India. Besides secured two best paper awards at the National and International levels, he was presented a number of papers in National and International conferences and has contributed 60 research papers in the LIS field. He has delivered a number of special lectures on topics such as Institutional Repositories on Dspace open source software, Developing Digital Library, Digital Library Software, Library Automation with RFID technology, Information and Communication Technology in Libraries, Resource Sharing, Knowledge Management; Portals and Web-OPAC; Digitization; User Education; Best practices and E-Learning. He is also a member of many professional bodies in India and Abroad.
