Author Profile

Dr. Pallem Chowdappa received M.Sc. in 1980 from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi, Ph.D in 1985 from Mangalore University, Mangalore, Karnataka. He became Director, ICAR-Central Plantation Crops Research Institute, Kasaragod in September, 2014. Dr. Chowdappa is specialized in molecular plant pathology. He attended international training program on 'Oomycetes bioinformatics' at Virginia Tech, USA in 2014. Dr. Chowdappa was awarded DFID fellowship for Post-Doctoral research at CABI Bioscience, UK in 1998. Dr. Chowdappa has published more than 120 research papers in leading national and inter­national journals, 12 books, 35 technical bulletins, 42 book chapters and 5 experimental manuals. Dr. Chandrika Mohan has completed her M.Sc and M.Phil from Calicut University, Kerala and Ph.D. from Kerala University. She has more than 28 years of research experience in coconut pest management and is currently working as Principal Scientist (Agrl. Entomology) at ICAR-Central Plantation Crops Research Institute, Regional Station, Kayamkulam. She has published more than 200 technical articles including more than 50 peer reviewed research articles in National and International Journals. Dr. A. Josephrajkumar is currently working as Principal Scientist in the discipline of Agricultural Entomology at ICAR-Central Plantation Crops Research Institute, Regional Station, Kayamkulam. He completed his doctorate from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Pusa, New Delhi. He has undergone a DBT-Post doctoral fellowship at SPIC Science Foundation, Guindy, Chennai. He had worked as Assistant Professor at Cardamom Research Station, Kerala Agricultural University, Pamapdumpara during 1999-2007. He has published more than 40 research papers in peer reviewed journals and has presented several papers in National and International symposia bestowed with oral presentation awards.
