Dr. V.B. Sakhare is Head, Post Graduate Department of Zoology, Yogeshwari Mahavidyalaya, Ambajogai. He has 18 years’ experience as an outstanding teacher and researcher. Dr. Sakhare has been editing an international journal ‘Ecology and Fisheries’ (ISSN 0974-6323). he has authored/edited more than 19 books.
Dr. B. Vasanthkumar is presently working as Associate Professor and Head of the Post Graduate Department of Zoology at Government Degree Arts and Science College, Karwar, Karnataka. He has published more than 50 research papers in the national and international journals of repute and more than 50 popular science articles. He has also published 12 textbooks.
Dr. C.M. Bharambe is working in the Department of Zoology, Vidnyan Mahavidyalaya, Malkapur (Maharashtra). He has done significant work in the field of Limnology and Toxicology and published more than 35 research papers in journals of repute. Dr. Bharambe has chaired a number of sessions of different seminars/symposia.
About The Book
The title of present book reflects a combination of two interrelated terms fish and aquatic resources, which is interacting ecological, biophysical, economic, social and cultural components. How is aquatic resources connected with sustainability and resilience are explored in detail. This book comprises 23 chapters by well known experts and research workers in the field of fish and fisheries. With its application oriented and interdisciplinary approach, we hope that the students, teachers, researchers, scientists, policy makers and environmental lawyers will find this book very useful.
