About The Book

Weather and Climate is resource and considered as basic input or resources in agricultural planning, every plant process related with growth, development and yield of crop is affected by weather. Similarly every farm operation such as ploughing, land preparation, weeding, manuring, irrigation, spraying, dusting, harvesting, storage and transport of farm produce are affected by weather. Agrometeorology is an inter disciplinary holistic science. It has numerous applications in agricultural resource utilization and management and has progressed rapidly both in content and applications. The present book entitled “Agrometeorological Approach to Sustainable Agriculture” is written in simple and descriptive style. It covers text materials that is taught in under-graduate and post-graduate courses of Agriculture, Agrometeorology, Plant Pathology, Environmental Sciences etc. Hope this book would be highly useful to the students, teachers and researchers engaged in this field.
