Author Profile

Dr. C. Satapathy retired as Head and Dean of Extension Education from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) in the year 2002. At present he is working as Director of Amity Humanity of Foundation at Bhubaneswar Odisha under the umbrella of Amity University Noida. He obtained Ph.D. Degree from Indian Institute of Agriculture Research (IARI) in the year 1981. He has teaching and research experience of 34 years. He has guided more than 30 Ph.D. Scholars and authored 14 books in various disciplines. Beside publishing more than 200 research papers in national and international journals. At present he is involved in livelihood projects. Dr. Sasmita Panda is working as an Assistant Professor, PG Department of Management, St. Claret College (Autonomous), Bangalore. Prior to the present assignment, she worked as a Social Scientist in Amity, Bhubaneswar, under the umbrella of Amity University Noida. Besides teaching she has undertaken a number of social development projects funded by DST, State Government, Tribal Development Dept., covering livelihood systems, tribal development, education, water management, health, and hygiene. Her efficiency has been proved in designing research projects, data analysis and writing research reports. She has obtained a Ph.D. degree from Utkal University, Odisha. She has published a good number of research papers in National and International journals along with a book chapter, in addition to participating in National and International seminars and workshops. She authored the books “Tools and Techniques of Social Research” and “Evaluation and Impact Assessment”. She is an active reviewer in reputed journals like Taylor & Francis, Emerald, Wiley, Springer etc. She has more than 10 years of research and teaching experience.

About The Book

The book 'Organizational Behaviour and Development 'covers two blocks with respective units as prescribed in the syllabus Ext.503 by ICAR. Under Block 1 there are four units namely, Basics of Organization, Basics of Organizational Behaviour, Individual Behaviour in Organization and Group Behaviour in Organization. Under Block 2 there are six units. These are, Overview of Organizational Development, Managing Organizational Development Process, Organizational Development Intervention, Organizational Development Practioners or Consultants, Productive Behaviour and Organizational Stress and lastly organizational system and structure. The contents have been arranged logically and sequentially for smooth reading and understanding of the scholars for whom the syllabus is designed. The definition and meaning of the terms used are given at the end of the book for ready reference and remembrance.
