Dr. Anil Kumar Biswal awarded Ph. D. in Botany from Utkal university. He has been imparting teaching at both undergraduate and post graduate level for last 32 years. At present, he is serving as Professor and Head, Department of Botany, Maharaj Sriram Chandra Bhanjdeo University. He was a receipient of “Dr. Gopinath Panigrahi commemoration award for significant contribution in Taxonomy” for the year 2016 by Orissa Botanical Society. He has authored five books namely Forest tribes of Orissa Vol.3: The Juang; Similipal Biosphere Reserve: Floral Diversity-Vol.I ; Coastal Biodiversity of undivided Balasore District; Pteridophytic Flora of Similipal and Facets of Similipal. He has made an humble contribution to the floristic studies of Odisha.
Dr. Hrudayanath Thatoi, is a Professor, Department of Biotechnology, North Orissa University, Odisha, India and is also presently working as Director of Centre for Similipal Studies, Director, HRDC, Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University. He has also served as the Reader and Head, Department of Biotechnology, Biju Patnaik University and Technology, Odisha, Asst. Prof. (Microbiology), Basic Science College, OUAT, Bhubaneswar and Sr. Scientist, M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation, Chennai. Prof. Thatoi obtained his M. Sc, M. Phil. and Ph. D. from Utkal University, Odisha, and has more than 18 years of teaching and 25 years of research experience. Prof. Thatoi has published more than 250 research papers in various nationally and internationally reputed journals, book chapters and proceedings of seminars. Prof. Thatoi has also authored 20 reference books and Seminar Proceedings. Dr Thatoi is a recepient of Prof. Harihara Pattanaik Award for significance contribution in environmental science during 2020 by Orissa Botanical Society
About The Book
The present book epitomizes the potential of green technologies for environmental management and sustainable development. It will cater to the needs of environmentalists, microbiologists, agriculturalists and those who are interested in environmental stewardship and sustainability paradigms. The book covers some of the topics discussed in the seminar Green technologies for environmental management conducted by Department of Botany, Maharaj Sriram Chandra Bhanjadeo University (Erstwhile North Orissa University), Baripada, Odisha, along with invited articles from various experts working in the field of biodiversity conservation and livelihood management. The book contains 35 papers comprising biodiversity issues and livelihood managements in two different sections.
