Ms. A Arunashri obtained her degree of Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc) in the year 2019 from Dr. M.G.R. Fisheries College and Research Institute, Ponneri, under TNJFU Tamil Nadu. She cleared AIEEA PG entrance examination in the year 2019. She completed her Postgraduate degree of Master of Fisheries Science (M. F. Sc) in Fish Physiology and Biochemistry in the year 2021 form ICAR- Central Institute of Fisheries Education. She also cleared AIEEA PhD exam in the year 2021. She cleared ASRB NET in Fish Nutrition Discipline in the year 2023. She has also written several articles and book chapters. She had nine years of experience in fisheries field particularly six years of experience in Fish Nutrition, Physiology and Biochemistry Discipline. Mr. Sai Kishore Potluri obtained his Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.) degree in 2020 from the College of Fishery Science, Muthukur, under SVVU, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. He cleared the ICAR-AIEEA PG entrance examination in 2020 and went on to complete his Master of Fisheries Science (M.F.Sc.) in Fish Nutrition and Feed Technology in 2022 from the ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai. He also cleared ICAR-AIEEA PhD exam in 2022. He has cleared ASRB NET in Fish Nutrition discipline in the year 2023. With eight years of experience in the fisheries field, including four years specializing in Fish Nutrition, Physiology, and Biochemistry, he has contributed significantly to the fisheries science community through several articles and book chapters. Ms. P Arya , MFSc. took her Bachelor of Fisheries Science(B.F.Sc) degree in the year 2016 from Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Panangad, Kochi, Kerala. She cleared AIEEA PG entrance examination in the year 2016 and joined ICAR- Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai for her Post graduation. She completed her Master of Fisheries Science in Fish Physiology and Biochemistry during the year 2018. Later on she has joined as a PhD Scholar in Fish Physiology and Biochemistry department at ICAR-CIFE Mumbai. She cleared ASRB NET in Fish Nutrition Discipline in 2018. Currently she is appointed as Assistant Professor at Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies, Panangad, Kochi, Kerala.

About The Book

This book is specifically written with Bachelor of Fisheries Science undergrads in mind. Although there are numerous works on advanced finfish physiology accessible, this book aims to provide UG students with a foundational understanding of the physiology of finfish and shellfish. This book is based on the ICAR syllabus, which is followed by almost all the fisheries colleges across India. To provide general understanding, a brief introduction to Fish Nutrition and Biochemistry is also included in the book. This book will be helpful for those who are preparing for JRF and Fisheries competitive examinations.
