Dr. Vivek is a well known Professor of Agronomy and he has professional experience of more 30 years of Teaching, Research and Extension with specialization of Weed and Nutrient Management at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut-250110 (U.P.), India. He has guided more than 12 Ph.D. and 15 M.Sc. students in their research programme. He is prolific writer and has published several manuals for teaching different courses, a lot of chapters in scientific books, more than 125 research papers published in refereed national and international Journals and many popular articles in different rural development magazine for the welfare of farmers. Dr. Vivek has also authored books (Agriculture and Climate Change etc). Mausmi Rastogi is currently pursuing Ph.D in Agronomy from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology Modipuram Meerut (U.P.), India. She did her B.Sc. (Ag.) from Chaudhary Charan Singh University in 2019 and M.Sc. in Agronomy from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology Modipuram, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh with 1st division in year 2021. She has awarded with “Best Research Scholar Award in 2022” and has published many research papers, articles, and book chapters in many national and international peer reviewed journals and also 2 book. She has attended many conferences on National and International level. Gajjela Indira is pursuing Ph.D in Agronomy from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology Modipuram Meerut (U.P.), India. Also M.Sc. in Agronomy from same university and secured first position from her batch. She obtained her B.Sc. agriculture degree from Agriculture College, Bapatla, Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University, Andhra Pradesh, India. and was adjudged with the Best student award (2015-16). She has published many research papers, articles, and book chapters in many national and international peer-reviewed journals. Shikhar Verma is currently pursuing Ph.D in Agronomy from Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology Nawabganj, Kanpur, (U.P.), India . He did his B.Sc. (Ag.) Hons. from Lucknow University in 2019 and M.Sc. in Agronomy from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology Modipuram, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh with Ist division. He has awarded with “Best Research Scholar Award in 2022” and has published many research papers, articles, and book chapters in many national and international peer-reviewed journals and also Published 3 books. Sushmita obtained her bachelor’s in agriculture from University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru and Masters in (Agriculture) Agronomy from University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad. She has cleared “ICAR NET” in Agronomy and “UGC NET” in Environmental sciences. She is currently a Ph.D. research scholar in Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut India.

About The Book

This manual is primarily for agriculture students and follows the curriculum suggested by the 5th Deans' Committee and approved by the ICAR. The manual will provide the students with the practical information they need to know about weed management. The chapters of this manual have been chosen and put together in a way that will improve students practical learning about weed management, with the help of images, tables, and figures. The manual is primarily intended for agriculture students and this manual will cater the need of the student about practical knowledge on weed management. Agriculture students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels have felt for a long time that they need more detailed information on practical application of weed management.
