About The Book
One of the invaluable discoveries of the last century remains to be the plant source chemical, resveratrol which has shown effectiveness to counter morbidness of many types in various organisms. Although adequate studies of this polyphenol compound in human beings had many practical difficulties to perform, its positive role in many lower forms of animals and cell-cultures are insinuative of its perusal in human beings. Mobilization of this compound to the target organs appears to be a handicap despite its relatively low molecular mass but overcoming this barrier by the use of highly micronized form should be taken stock of. Supplementation of the compound in crude form needs greater attention to make provision of emodin and other associated compounds. Practical utilization of resveratrol to combat plant diseases needs adequate exploration for phytoalexin property of the compound. Valued suggestions for addition or modification of any part from appropriate authorities for better
presentation of this compendium are welcome by the author.
