He has guided 20 Ph.D. and 60 M.Sc. students as a research advisory member. Dr. M. Vijaya Lakshmi is working as Technical Officer to Director, PME Cell, Dr.YSRHU. She has 12 years teaching experience and 4 years in research. She has authored 21 research articles, presented 9 research papers in National and International conferences. She has published a book and one book chapter. Vallabhapuram Sekhar is working as an Assistant Professor in Statistics at Dr. YSRHU - College of Horticulture, Venkataramannagudem, A.P. He has 14 years of teaching experience. He has published 2 text books, 30 research papers in National and International journals. Dr. B. Srinivasulu working as Principal Scientist & Head, Dr.YSRHU-Horticultural Research Station, Ambajipeta and Director of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Cell, Dr.YSRHU, A.P with 39 years of experience in Research, Extension activities. He has published 7 textbooks, 8 book chapters, 147 research articles, 60 technical bulletins. Dr. T. Janakiram working as a Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Y. S. R. Horticultural University, A.P. He developed and released 26 different flower crop varieties and 15 hybrid flower crop varieties. He is the recipient of 15 awards at national and international level and fellow of six societies. He has guided 2 Ph.D and 8 M.Sc students. He has outstanding contribution in horticulture research and development in his 32 years of career with impressive record of 260 publications.

About The Book

The textbook contains ten chapters. The first chapter describes introduction and role of statistics in horticultural science. The second chapter covers collection, classification and tabulation of the horticultural data. Third chapter focuses on graphical and diagrammatic representation of horticultural data. Central tendency measures are covered in fourth chapter and dispersion measures are covered in fifth chapter. Probability and probability distributions are explained in sixth and seventh chapters. The terminology of testing of hypothesis, small sample and large sample tests are demonstrated in eighth chapter. In ninth chapter, correlation and regression concepts analysed. In the tenth chapter, the concepts of designs of experiments and basic designs of experiments problems depicted.
