Dr. K. M. Yuvaraj is working as Professor and Head, Department of Plantation, Spices Medicinal and Aromatic Crops, College of Horticulture, Anantharajupeta, Dr. YSR Horticultural University. He has rich and varied experience in the fields of teaching, research and extension with 22 years of experience and published 50 research articles in various journals. He guided many M.Sc. and Ph.D. students for their research. He was the co-principal investigator of 2 ICAR projects. He was involved in the development of two hybrids (Cashew hybrid 10 and Cashew hybrid -11) in cashewnut. He was the recipient of Professor M.S. Swaminathan best scientist Award and teacher award from the Government of Andhra Pradesh. On deputation, he worked as Project Director of Andhra Pradesh Micro-irrigation Project.
Dr. G. Chandra Mohan Reddy obtained his B.Sc. (Horticulture) degree from Dr. YSR Horticultural University, Andhra Pradesh and M.Sc. (Hort.) in Spices, Plantation, Medicinal and Aromatic crops from University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot, Karnataka and Ph.D in Horticulture from CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Haryana. He has qualified ICAR-JRF (2014), ICAR-SRF (2016-1st rank) and CSIR/ICAR-NET etc. He has published research articles and book chapters in reputed journals and publishers. Presently associated with Teaching in the Department of Spices, Planation, Medicinal and Aromatic Crops at College of Horticulture, Anantharajupeta, Dr. YSR Horticultural University, Andhra Pradesh. He is interested in research, teaching and sharing knowledge gained by him to help others.
Mr. D. Mastan Vali did B.Sc. (Hort.) and M.Sc. (Hort.) with specialization in medicinal and aromatic crops with an excellent academic record from College of Horticulture, Anantharajupeta, Dr. YSR Horticultural University, Andhra Pradesh. Presently pursuing Ph.D. from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He Qualified ICAR- ARS NET and bagged five articles which are published in peer reviewed journals with a high NAAS rating.
Dr. G. Thanuja Sivaram Working as Assistant Professor in Department of Plantation, Spices, Medicinal and Aromatic Crops, College of Horticulture, Anantharajupeta, Dr.YSR Horticultural University. She handled eight non-plan projects on various crops. Established Instructional farm for medicinal and aromatic plants at COH, Anantharajupeta. Published twenty-four research papers, fourteen popular articles, four book chapters and life member to various scientific societies.
Mr. S. Raghuveer obtained his M.Sc. (Horticulture) (Spices, Plantation, Medicinal and Aromatic crops) from Uttarakhand University of Horticulture and Forestry, Bharsar, Uttarakhand. Currently he is pursuing his Ph.D. from Dr. YSR Horticultural University, Andhra Pradesh. He has qualified ICAR-JRF (2017), ICAR-SRF (2019). He has also qualified ICAR-NET etc. He is interested in research, teaching and sharing knowledge gained by him to help others.

The book provides an overview of concise and point wise updated information on Spices, Plantation, Medicinal and Aromatic crops. Most of the information in presented in tabular form in a comprehensive and lucid manner for easy understanding of the subject. The book is primarily meant for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of horticulture of all agricultural universities in India. Special emphasis has been given to students appeasing for various competitive examinations like post-graduate entrance examinations, SAUs Entrance, Ph.D., ICAR-NET, JRF, SRF, ARS, SET, Civil Services and allied agricultural examinations.
