Dr. C. Satapathy retired as Head and Dean of Extension Education from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology in the year 2002 and there after working as Director Amity Humanity Foundation under Amity University. He obtained Ph.D. degree from IARI in 1981. He has more than 30 years of experience in teaching and research. He has guided more than 30 Ph.D. Students. Besides a number of research papers in National and International journals he has published 12 books.
Prof. Santosh Kumar Rout, Additional Dean, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, SOADU, graduated in Agricultural Extension Education, OUAT in 1978. He did Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension Education, OUAT. In addition to present position he has worked in OUAT in the capacity of Dean Extension Education. He has been conferred with FAO Fellowship and Best Extension Scientist and published a good numbers of papers in National and International journal .
Dr. Sasmita Panda graduated from Utkal University and obtained Ph.D. in Business Administration from Utkal University. She has rich experience in Preparation of concept paper, Formulation of Rural based research Projects, designing and implementation of livelihood Project on rural household. She has published 16 research papers in National and International journals along with Book chapter. She is involved in designing rural based research program and rural marketing. She has experience of eight years in conducting multidisciplinary research. At present she is working in Amity University as a Social Scientist.

The book highlights key to understand what is social research, how is conducted with what techniques.
