Author Profile

Prof. Rajive Kumar Pateria is presently working as Professor, LIS in Nehru Library, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. He is serving the University Library System for last more than 22 years. After completing his B. Sc., he got awarded with B.L.I.Sc. and M.L.I.Sc from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. He did his PGDCA from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He was awarded with Ph.D. on “Library Collection Development in the Era of Information Technology in the Agricultural University Libraries of Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh” from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. He has published around 50 articles in prominent journals, books, National and International Conferences. He is editor of seven books. He is member in Editorial Board of a renowned journal in the field of Agricultural Librarianship i.e. Indian Journal of Agricultural Library and Information Service and International Journal of Information Management. He has been Co-PI in three national level sub-project named as “Krishi Prabha- An Online Repository of Indian Agricultural Doctoral Dissertations”, “Strengthening of Digital Library and Information Management under NARS (e-Granth)” and “Impact Assessment of Usages of Agricultural Information System in National Agricultural Research and Education System (NARES).” He is member of various professional associations in the field of library and information science viz. Indian Library Association, Indian Association of Special Libraries and Information Centres, Association of Agricultural Librarians and Documentalists of India and Haryana Library Association. He has also given the major responsibility to work as Nodal Officer, RTI and Nodal Officer CM Window by the University. He has also been remained the Incharge of Hospitality at CCSHAU, Hisar. His areas of interests are Library Automation, Digital Collection Development and Management and he has vast experience of Library Automation, Digitization, Videoconferencing and other ICT based application in libraries.
