About The Book

'Integration of behavioural science into extension education needs to be construed in a broader sense as integrating human factor in the science and practices of extension education and field extension',writes Sri. Suresh Kumar, IAS (Retd) in the Foreword to this book. The integration of social and behavioural sciences into the discipline of Extension education is very much felt in the process of reinventing extension science to deal with the emerging challenges. By drawing insights from various social sciences and blending these insights in the academic and research activities, Extension education can enhance its vibrancy and rigour to serve as a useful applied discipline. The students of Extension education, mostly at the M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels, extension academics and scientists, extension administrators and planners may find the book useful, applicable and relevant to their work, particularly for addressing the challenges related to DFI and post COVID-19 crisis of farmers.
