Velusamy is presently working as Associate Professor (Agricultural Extension) in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology, Agricultural College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Madurai, Tamil Nadu. He has completed fourteen years of service in teaching, research and extension work and served in various positions in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University viz., Subject Matter Specialists at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Vriddhachalam, Cuddalore, Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology, Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai and Associate Professor in the Department of Social Sciences, Horticultural College and Research Institute, Periyakulam. He has published two books in Tamil, one textbook in English, articles in National and international level.
