Author Profile

Dr. Ajay Kumar Vashisht is working as Associate Professor in College of Agricultural Engineering and Post Harvest Technology, Central Agricultural University Imphal, Manipur. He has authored more than 50 publications, which includes one text book entitled “Fundamentals of Groundwater and Drainage Engineering”, research papers, book chapters, and conference papers. He has an experience of working (teaching as well as research) in the three most prestigious agricultural universities of India (i.e. PAU, Ludhiana; GBPUA&T, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand; and Central Agricultural University Imphal, Manipur). He was conferred with the most prestigious Dr. H. K. Jain CAU Award for the year 2017-18 for outstanding contributions in the NE region of India and “Commendation Medal for the year 2018” for professional achievements in the last 10 years of service by the Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (India). Presently, he is Associate Editor of the journal “Agricultural Engineering Today”, which is being published by ISAE (India) from the last 42 years. Dr. Anila George is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science, St. John's College, Anchal, Kerala. She has completed her M.Sc. (Environmental Sciences) from St. John's College, Anchal, M. Phil. (Environmental Sciences) and Ph.D. (Environmental Sciences) from the University of Kerala. She has more than nine years of teaching and research experience. Until date, she has published 28 research papers in International/National journals, conferences proceedings and as book chapters.

About The Book

The book 'Impact of Climate Change Biodiversity and Environment' addresses the impact of climate change and human interventions on the groundwater, rivers, wetlands, soil health, and natural habitat. It comprises 33 chapters, which are grouped under five sections. This book is a unique compilation of the latest field studies performed by eminent environmental scientists/engineers and can be counted as a valuable and up to date reference for PG/Ph.D. students/Research Scholars of the universities and the industries/NGOs working in the field of biodiversity, climate change, agriculture and environmental management.
