Author Profile
Dr. V. Mariappan had his Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Degree in Agriculture from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. He was a post doctoral fellow at International Rice Research Institute, Manila, Philippines from 1981-1983. He won the Pest Control Council Award at Philippines for the Best Research Pater on Neem for rice tungro virus control. He was also awarded Pesticide India Award for the year 1991. He has put in more than 35 years teaching and research work in Plant Pathology and published more than 170 research papers in reputed journals both here and abroad. He has been associated with Neem research programmes sponsored by worldwide organizations and participated in National, International and World Neem Conferences.
