Author Profile

Prof. J D S Panwar obtained Ph.D. (Plant Physiology) from IARI, New Delhi. Joined IARI, Plant Physiology in 1971 and served the IARI in several positions and as HOD of CPBM at IIPR Kanpur. He has retired as Head, Division of Plant Physiology, IARI New Delhi. After this tenure, Dr. Panwar has served as Vice Chancellor, MGU Meghalaya and Venkateshwara Open University Arunachal Pradesh. He has worked on many projects in physiology especially on chickpea in collaboration with different establishments at national and international levels. He has published 5 books and more than hundred eesearch papers. He has been awarded for Excellence Education Award 2016 by Confederation of Indian University at Kolkata. Dr Amit Kumar Jain obtained Master’s in Botany, Ph.D in Botany and D.Sc. (Botany) in 2015 from CCS University, Meerut. He has acquired 4 Post Graduate Diplomas, B.Ed, MA(Edu.) and MA(Distance Education) & also qualified ICAR-NET. He is the member and fellow of national and international academic bodies. He has published 4 Books, 8 book Chapters and 37 research articles. He has been awarded for Young Scientist Award 2014, Special Achievement Award 2017 and Rashtriya Shiksha Gaurav Puraskkar 2018. Dr. Jain has joined IGNOU as Assistant Regional Director and presently working at IGNOU RC Karnal Haryana. Formerly, he served as Assistant Professor in Microbiology, J.V. College, Baraut, UP. Dr Brijesh Kumar Rathi did Master’s Degree (Botany) in 1999 and Ph.D (Botany) in 2006 from CCS University, Meerut. Dr. Rathi is working as Assistant Professor in Botany, Govt. Girls PG College, Kandhla, Shamli UP. Earlier worked as Assistant Professor (Botany) & NSS Programme Officer and SVEEP Coordinator for Pilibhit district by the Govt. of UP. He has also participated in various training orientation programme related with NSS. He has qualified CSIR- NET and has published one book and more than ten research papers in journal of repute.

About The Book

This book has four units covering the area of youth leadership, life competencies, social harmony, national integration and youth development programmes in India. National youth programmes can also help to shape the leadership, youth skills commitment, develop the capacity of youth establishments, and support to public nationwide.
