About The Book

The book title “Organic Farming and Management of Biotics Stresses” is based on Organic Agriculture and sustainable pests and disease management. Sustainable development is the ultimate destination of any program launched by any country at any period of time. Modern agriculture is mostly governed by non renewable energy where billions of chemicals are consumed annually. That is working against natural balance and taking the human society from stable to instable position. Therefore, there is an urgent global need to find an effective alternative to synthetic chemicals and fertilizer use, which can ensure increase in crop yield and at the some time sustain the eco-system in its natural conditions. Organic farming is an Agricultural system which aims at utilization of the land in a way that the soil is kept dynamic with living activities and in good health, at the same time keeping the environment clean, maintaining the ecological balance and providing stability to the production level without polluting soil, water and air. The matter of the book has divided into two parts i.e. Organic Agriculture & Management. In the part of organic Agriculture, gives adequate information about history, scope issues, challenges, constraint and prospects of organic farming in India as well as in the world, role of humas & bio-fertilizer in organic farming. Second part of book gives details idea about management strategies of pest and disease in organic farming using bio-agents, vasicular arbascular Mycorrhiza, plant growth promoting Rhizobacteria, plant product, vermicimpost etc. The wide range of issues discussed in this book which will provide new information's to the all readers regarding organic agriculture and innovative disease management strategies. This book will be helpful for graduate and post graduate students of Agriculture for various competitive examinations with agriculture as a subject.
