About The Book

Since production potential of exotic and cross breed cows can not be fully exploited by feeding low quality natural grasses, hence this book deals with the cultivation of high yielding quality forage genotypes to meet their adequate demand. In addition to scientific management of high yielding nutritious forage under cut and carry system, emphasis has also been given for managing pasture and natural grassland (Rangelands). Attention has also been given for sustainability of the system by maintaining soil fertility as well as forage production under problematic soil conditions as well as role of grasses in soil conservation is duly addressed. This book is useful for the Agricultural and Animal Husbandry teachers, students and to person involved in farming system.
