Dr. Hira Moni Deka (b. 28 Nov. 1980) had completed her master in History in 2004 and Ph.D. in 2010 from Gauhati University. The author had served as part time lecturer in the Department of History, Handique Girls College and as Substitute Teacher in the Department of History, Arya Vidyapeeth College.

About The Book

This book covers an important period of the in political history of Assam from 1987 to 2003. It discusses the history of the Bodo identity assertion in political sphere of Assam. Bodo politics of identity forms an important part of the post -independence political developments in Assam. The movement has been instrumental in bringing identity aspirations among other communities of Assam. Besides discussing the causes of the Bodo Movement this book also analysis the technique, leadership and impact of the movement as well.
