Dr. Shahid Ahamad, completed his B.Sc (Ag.) from N.D.U.A.T. Kumarganj,Faizabad in 1994; M.Sc (Ag.) Plant Pathology from C.S. Azad Unversity of Agri. and Technology, Kanpur, U.P. in 1996 and Ph.D. (Botany) from C.S.J. M. Univ. Kanpur, U.P. in 2003. He worked as a Research Associate with Prof. A.K.Sarbhoy for three years (1997-2000) in the Division of Plant Pathology, I.A.R.I., Pusa, New Delhi. He was appointed as Jr. Scientist (Plant Pathology) in 2001 in the SKUAST-Jammu at Regional Agril. Research Station, Rajouri, for seven years and then appointed as Programme Coordinator Krishi Vigyan Kendra,SKUAST-J., Rajouri-185131 (J&K) in 2008. During short tenure of twelve years, he has published 100 publications in his credit. He has published 4 books, 30 research papers in the journals of national and international repute, 20 popular articles in different magazines, 25 book chapters, 01 review/conceptual articles, 13 bulletins and 18 research abstracts and 10 Reports. He has been conferred with SPPS Fellow-2005 by the Society of Plant Protection Sciences, Division of Nematology, IARI, New Delhi. Recently he has been awarded Young Achiever Award-2011 from SADHNA, H.P. and Distinguished Service Award-2012 from Bioved Research Society, Allahabad, U.P. He has been also choosen as Councillor (2012-15) of Society of Plant Protection Sciences, New Delhi.
About The Book
The rapid change in the agro-ecosystem leaves a snag in the establishment of harmony the discard of the disturb ecosystem due to wide usage of chemical pesticides, fertilizers and synthetic plant growth regulators. The long term effect were overlooked hence, boom of one time become bane for the ecosystem degradation.
