Author Profile
Dr. Dushyant Kumar Sharma got his undergraduate degree in Zoology (Hons) from Hindu College, University of Delhi, Delhi in 1988. He received his M.Sc. and M.Phil degrees from Department of Zoology, University of Delhi, Delhi. He obtained his Ph.D degree from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Agra, U.P. He has been working in Department of Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh since 1993. Presently, he is working as Professor of Zoology in SMS Govt. Model Science College, Gwalior, M.P. His main areas of interest are biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, hematology and environmental science. He has written books on Biochemistry and Microbiology (Published by Narosa Publishing House, New Delhi and Alpha Science International Pvt. Ltd.) and edited a book on Biological Diversity (Published by Daya Publishing House, New Delhi). Besides teaching, he is actively engaged in research. He has completed two research projects sponsored by UGC. He has contributed several research papers in various national and international journals. He has organized and attended several seminars and workshops. Dr. Sharma is a member of Editorial board of Indian Journal of Scientific Research and Indian Journal of Life Sciences. He is a life member of The Indian Science Congress Association and Global Academic Society of India.
About The Book
During the last few decades man has exploited the environment to such as extent that the environmental equilibrium has been highly disturbed. Exploding population, deforestation, urbanization and industrialization have all rocked the environment very badly. This situation has arisen due to the greed and overambitious plans of human beings. Now the time has reached when the issues of environment should be seriously taken. There is an urgent need to find out a possible solution to prevent degradation the environment. Environment friendly approach to the development is the need of hour. Protecting environment is the responsibility of all of us. Each section of the society should work together for protecting the environment as a whole. Researches are being carried out throughout the world in various areas of environmentalscience. <BR> This book is an assemblage of the current researches in different fields of environment.
