About The Book

Mosquitoes are epidemic burden to human being which cause severe losses financially. They transmit traded diseases such as Malaria, Dengue, Filaria, Chikungunya, Japanese Encephalities, etc. Therefore, control of mosquitoes is control of above diseases. In the text eleven newly described species of mosquitoes viz., Anopheles (Cellia) Krishnai, Anopheles (Anopheles) kolhapuri, Aedes Sathei, Ae. rajashri, Ae. (Finlaya) rajashri, Culex (Culex) malhari, Culex (Culex) malkapuri, Culex (Barraudius) mirjensis and Culex (Barraaudius) satarensis are dealt. This well illustrated book also contains seasonal abundance, life cycle, mosquito control strategies and bibliography. In addition, the book contains eight redescribed species.
